Lacrosse Head Doodles

There are days that I'm so busy I just sit down and let my head spin. Other days I'm all about PJs and binge watching whatever series I'm into. Then there's those day that I have a creative itch that needs scratched. Sometimes I write a blog, other days I take pictures

and then there's days that I dye lacrosse mesh and / or doodle on old lacrosse heads. Yesterday was such a day. I got back from watching MYAA basketball (great program to participate in if you're in the Erie, PA area) and my son having a great game. I really didn't want to clean the house (who the heck ever does?) and just not in the mood for TV (working my way through Grimm). I had some mesh handy and the old head my son gave me to monkey around with. So I had a beverage and thought about what I could do.

First came the mesh, decided to do a #McDowell "M" and dye it blue & white. The "M" was a pain in the butt, at least you can tell what it is. It's been a while since I've done any mesh work and totally out of practice.

Next I might get ambitious and do a Prep "P"or something with the other local team's colors, just to see how it'd work. If you want to see anything, let me know.

After the mesh I still hadn't fully scratched my creative itch so I pulled out an old lacrosse head that I had been messing around with. I had started to do a red, white and blue theme but honestly the red stripes were a pain in the rump. I decided to put flames at the bottom. All I have to say is thank heavens there's a better way to dye heads, what I did is not the way. Too many crevices and the tip of the Sharpie paint pen was too wide. But, I doodled away. Learning what to and not to do as I was doing it. While I like the Sharpie paint pen, I'll be using them on flat surfaces from now on. The outcome wasn't horrible.
